Supplementary General Terms and Conditions for International Print Media

Basic legal provisions

In general, the contents of international media monitoring are intended for internal use only. As far as possible, we undertake licence management and the on-site processing thereof in collaboration with our international partners. However, some licensors insist on direct contact or insist that a contact is concluded with the end customer. The details of the countries concerned are listed below. For further information on any licence costs, please refer to the websites of the relevant licensors.

Detailed legal provision

 

Austria

For deliveries from Austria, up to ten users are licensed. Additional users can be licensed via our content suppliers and invoiced via ARGUS DATA INSIGHTS.

 

United Kingdom (UK) and Republic or Ireland (ROI)

For digital delivery and/or supply of deliverables as a link in ARGUS Portal, an end user licence agreement with the local licensing agency, NLA, is required.

Articles are licensed depending on the number of users via ARGUS DATA INSIGHTS. Customers based in the UK do not require an end user licence agreement, but rather a direct licence agreement with the NLA and an additional direct agreement with the CLA:

Articles from the Financial Times (all our customers’ locations) may only be delivered by post. Re-importing articles into the respective country of origin requires additional agreements with the licensors of the country of origin.

 

France

For deliveries from France, only one user is licensed. For two or more users, a direct licensing agreement with the local licensing agency, CFC, is required:

Spain

For deliveries from Spain, only one user is licensed. For two or more users, a direct licensing agreement with the local agency, CEDRO, is required:

Customers based in Spain require a direct contract with the licensing agency CEDRO. Re-importing articles into the country of origin requires additional agreements with the licensors of the country of origin.

 

Italy

For deliveries from Italy, up to ten users are licensed. Additional users can be licensed via our content suppliers and invoiced via ARGUS DATA INSIGHTS. Articles from “Il Sole 24 Ore” may only be supplied subject to an additional agreement with the publisher.

 

The Netherlands

For deliveries from the Netherlands, up to five users are licensed. Additional users can be licensed via our content suppliers and invoiced via ARGUS DATA INSIGHTS. For digital delivery and/or supply of deliverables as a link in ARGUS Portal, an end user licence agreement with the local licensing agency, ArtikelPro, is required:

Belgium

For up to three users, articles from Belgium may be delivered directly from the local content supplier to ARGUS DATA INSIGHTS and to our customers via email. Integration into ARGUS Portal requires an additional contract with Copiepresse:

If there are more than three users, a direct licence agreement with Copiepresse is required.

 

Luxembourg

For deliveries from Luxembourg, up to five users are licensed. Additional users can be licensed via our content suppliers and invoiced via ARGUS DATA INSIGHTS.

 

USA

For deliveries from the USA, up to five users are licensed. Additional users can be licensed via our content suppliers and invoiced via ARGUS DATA INSIGHTS. Monitoring of the “New York Times” and the “Wall Street Journal” is not currently possible.

 

Japan

For legal reasons, articles from Japan can only be delivered by post.
